Weezer's first concert performance was on the opening stage for Matrix star Keanu Reeves and his band Dogstar in 1992. They were signed to Geffen Records in 1993 and headed to the studio with The Cars frontman, Ric Ocasek, to produce their self-titled debut album dubbed the "Blue Album". The lead-off single "Undone-The Sweater Song" was an immediate top ten hit on modern rock radio. It was with their second single "Buddy Holly" and its iconic video that the band reached cult status. The single won Weezer the Breakthrough Video Award and Best Alternative Music Video at the MTV Video Music Awards. The album featured one more hit single, "Say It Ain't So", and was certified triple-Platinum and remains their highest selling album to-date.

In the aftermath of the success, Weezer tour dates were scheduled internationally to play to their burgeoning audience. The band returned to the studio in 1994 and released their sophomore album Pinkerton in 1996. While the single "El Scorcho" was a hit on radio, the album was not properly promoted due to a legal issue and subsequently suffered through slow initial sales. Weezer tour dates were scheduled to promote the album before a hiatus beginning in 1997. During this time, Rivers attended Harvard and focused his efforts towards his song-writing. The band reunited in 2000 for a spot on the Fuji Festival in Japan which reinvigorated their appetite for recording. Weezer tour dates were scheduled on the 2000 Warped Tour and they recorded their album Weezer.

The self-titled third album, popularly known as The Green Album, was released in 2000 and brought Weezer back to mainstream acclaim. The initial singles "Hash Pipe" and "Island in the Sun" were MTV video hits and radio smashes. They quickly returned with Maladroit in 2002 which featured a heavier more serious sound. Weezer concert dates were booked on the Maladroit Enlightenment Tour and they recorded in-between shows. They headed back into the recording studio with famed producer Rick Rubin to craft Make Believe. the album was released in 2005 and featured their biggest hit to-date, "Beverly HIlls", which reached #1 on the Modern Rock Songs chart. The Weezer concert schedule included the Make Believe Tour and a Japan-wide concert series in 2005.

More recently, Weezer cut their sixth album with Rick Rubin, which was colloquially known as the The Red Album. The disc featured their second #1 hit, "Porks and Beans", which won a Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video. Weezer tour dates were scheduled alongside Blink 182 for a nation-wide outing and they wrote songs for their upcoming album, Radittude, which was released in 2010. Weezer's concert schedule included headlining stints at the Bamboozle Festival and Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in 2010. Weezer released their latest studio album, Hurley, and a compilation of rarities, Death to False Metal, in 2011 . The Weezer concert schedule 2011 will have the rockers traversing the globe. The band has been rockin' their quirky rock anthems for nearly two decades. Don't miss a date on the Weezer concert schedule 2011. Girl Talk: Greg Gillis, better known professionally as Girl Talk, has become one of the premier mash-up artists in the US. He has played tour dates to capacity crowds around the world, and his albums have sold…well, nobody really knows. Due to Girl Talk's extensive use of sampling from other artists, Gillis sells all his albums digitally on the donation-based online record label, Illegal Art. That hasn't stopped Girl Talk from becoming more popular than many artists signed to major labels, or from playing 2011 tour dates at some of the summer's biggest music festivals.

Gillis began making music while in high school, eventually recording under the name Girl Talk in college while studying biomedical engineering. Early on, Gillis realized he could legally use samples from other artists by citing the fair use exception in copyright law that says he can use samples on albums and tour dates if they're short enough. While Girl Talk has been releasing albums since 2002, he broke onto the mainstream with his 2006 album, Night Ripper. The 2008 album, Feed the Animals, was nearly universally acclaimed and was prominently featured on many magazines' Best of lists for the year.

Girl Talk's 2010 album, All Day, has been the best received yet, even receiving an "A" from traditional critic Robert Christgau. Consequently, fans are showing up in droves for Girl Talk's tour dates in 2011, which began at the beginning of July. Highlights from the tour will include appearances at Wanderlust, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and the Blackwater Music Festival. Girl Talk's 2011 tour dates end on October 29 at the Voodoo Experience Music Festival, so buy your tickets soon!

Animal Collective: A small, experimental rock collective out of Baltimore, Animal Collective is one of the most promising musical collectives in the US right now. With eight albums produced in eleven years, the group has gained an international fan base that appears in droves on their busy tour dates. Animal Collective has been previewing some new songs at these critically acclaimed tour dates in 2011, which will appear on a new album that is set to record soon.

The collective's members are all connected in roundabout ways through their attendance in various progressive schools around Baltimore, Maryland. Noah Lennox (Panda Bear) and Josh Dibb (Deakin) were friends at the Waldorf School of Baltimore before graduating. Attending the Park School of Baltimore with Dibb was David Portner (Avey Tare), as well as a transfer student named Brian Weitz (Geologist), with whom he shared a love of the band Pavement. After dropping acid and becoming interested in psychedelic music, Dibb introduced Portner and Weitz to Lennox and the quartet began collaborating in different combinations. Despite Portner and Weitz attending school in New York while Dibb and Lennox went off to college in Boston, all four helped produce Lennox's debut, "self-titled" album, Panda Bear, in 1998. After the release, the four would still return to Baltimore over summer break to collaborate and perform tour dates.

It was during one of these summers that Portner asked Lennox to play drums on an album he was working on. Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished was released in 2000 under the name Avey Tare and Panda Bear. Later in 2000, Weitz joined Lennox and Portner at their tour dates and the resulting tracks would make up the majority of the 2001 album, Danse Manatee. Dibb began performing with the group as a whole and soon after they released Campfire Songs in 2003. Sung Tongs was released in 2004 and quickly became the group's breakthrough record. The album received recognition and praise from popular magazines like Mojo and Rolling Stone, as well as Animal Collective's growing fan base at tour dates.

After Weitz returned from one year of graduate studies, the quartet once again rejoined to write song for their hit 2005 album, Feels. After nearly a year long concert schedule, Animal Collective began working on what would become their 2007 album, Strawberry Jam. The album became a huge success, with critics praising the continuation of Animal Collective's direction and evolution. The album's success paled in comparison to the popularity of 2009's Merriweather Post Pavilion, which began receiving rave reviews before the album even released.

Since that time, Animal Collective has released ODDSAC, a visual album which combines the bands music and psychedelic visuals inspired by the songs. Animal Collective can currently be found playing European tour dates in 2011. They are currently in the UK and will continue on to nations like Germany, Belgium, Poland, Italy, and France. On July 7, they'll return to he US to play five tour dates before ending their concert schedule on July 13. Don't miss the opportunity to see a unique and immersive live experience on Animal Collective tour dates in 2011.

Demetri Martin: Stand-up comedian. Actor. Writer. Person. Demetri Martin is all these things; and more. Known primarily for his televised stand-up specials and his Comedy Central show, Important Things with Demetri Martin, deadpan comedian Demetri Martin has brought a breath of fresh air into the world of comedy. A Yale graduate and former Clinton White House intern (not that one), Martin interjects both intellectual and ridiculously simplistic humor into everything he does. While his acting career is quickly growing, Demetri Martin still finds time to perform live stand-up; including a short tour in 2011.

After dropping out of New York University School of Law in the late 90s, Demetri Martin pursued a career in stand-up comedy and toured around NYC. He appeared on Premium Blend in 2001, followed the next year by a small role in Analyze That. A 2003 tour date took him to the 2003 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where he won the Perrier Award for his one-man show, If I. The show was turned into a special for British television in 2004; the same year Martin received his first Comedy Central Presents stand-up special. Demetri Martin continued to tour the country, with some of his performances being compiled into the 2006 gold certified comedy album, These Are Jokes.

The album and Martin's previous Comedy Central special led to another Comedy Central Presents stand-up up extravaganza titled Demetri Martin. Person. The special's success led to higher profile stand-up tours and movie roles, including his own show on Comedy Central in 2009. Important Things with Demetri Martin ran for two seasons and featured many of the routines and unorthodox bits that appear in his televised stand-up specials. Martin recently released his first book, This Is a Book, and is continuing to tour and develop films.

Demetri Marin has only a handful of dates on his stand-up tour in 2011, with the latter half of July spent in Southern California. At the end of July, Martin will take a brief break before picking up the tour again in September. Be sure to check Eventful for all the info on Demetri Martin's 2011 tour and buy your tickets online soon!

TV on the Radio: With their unique blend of rock, electro-funk and a dash of soul, TV on Radio has released several critically acclaimed albums over the last decade. TV on the Radio tour dates and appearances have fans rockin' out to the smooth and funky stylings of the Brooklyn based multi-instrumental collection of artists. The TV on the Radio Tour 2011 is in support of their upcoming fifth album, Nine Types of Light, and has the band playing all over the country.

TV on Radio infuses classical instruments, such as the cello and violin, over well crafted synthesized beats that feature the quirky soul vocals of lead singer Tunde Adebimpe. The band formed in 2000 under Adebimpe and David Andrew Sitek's guidance and self-released the Radiohead referenced, "OK Calculator," in 2002. TV on the Radio quickly caught the attention of music execs and the band was signed to Chicago-based imprint Touch and Go Records to release their second album, Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes. It was with the release of their third album, Return to Cookie Mountain, that the band received widespread critical acclaim. Reaching the top 50 of the Billboard 200 Album charts, the album was highly regarded by critics and fans alike. Rolling Stone heralded Return to Cookie Mountain as the fourth best release of 2006, with Spin Magazine naming it album of the year. In support of the album, TV on the Radio tour dates were scheduled throughout the US and featured a guest appearance by Academy Award winning musician and Nine Inch Nails frontman, Trent Reznor.

TV on the Radio returned in 2008 with Dear Science and promoted the album with appearances on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "Saturday Night Live." The album was instantly greeted with critical and commercial success, debuting just outside the top ten on The Billboard 200 Album charts. This time around, Rolling Stone magazine named it album of the year with Entertainment Weekly and MTV concurring. Instead of touring with the album, the band announced a year-long hiatus in 2009 to focus on individual side projects.

During this hiatus, the band kept busy in the studio and silently produced their fifth album, "Nine Types of Light," which will be released on April 12, 2011. Additionally, TV on the Radio tour dates were booked throughout North America. Fans who cannot wait to catch a TV on the Radio concert can download songs from their upcoming album off the band's official website.
